Register at a glance
The Register spans the five NSW Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) and their 30-plus host councils.
We are currently running a pilot in the Central-West Orana region, with more REZs on their way.
New renewable energy projects are becoming part of regional communities across Australia. Alongside investment and infrastructure come commitments, benefits and expectations.
The Social Licence Register was created to make those commitments easier to understand.
By bringing together information from planning documents, environmental assessments, approvals, company reporting and other public sources, the Register provides a clearer picture of what has been proposed, what can be publicly verified and where further information may be needed.
Each Renewable Energy Zone has its own Register. Some zones already contain detailed project records and source verification, while others are currently being developed as project information becomes available. Explore a zone to understand what projects are proposed, what commitments have been publicly documented and how renewable energy development is evolving across the region.
